Squeekie, a funky feline from the Florida Keys, was dispatched to that Great Litterbox in the Sky far too soon.
A cat among cats, Squeekie, known by friends as the Squeekster, met an untimely death at the hands of infidels who sacrificed her at the altar of the heathens July 1, 2002.
This site seeks to keep Squeekie's memory alive, tragically unlike the rest of her, in the pantheon of unfairly felled felines.
Here is Squeekie's story:
Due to an unstable social environment, Squeekie spent 10 months living at an undisclosed location. A bureaucratic screw-up resulted in Squeekie being moved to another undisclosed location, 50 miles away. She was supposed to stay for one weekend, with the caveat that she be returned to the first aforementioned undisclosed location.
Dare we liken it to the fateful three-hour tour upon which the unknowing Gilligan, Skipper, Mary Ann and all the rest embarked?
Squeekie never made it back.
A sea of institutional indifference among the infidels cast Squeekie adrift to her one-way fate, delivered in the form of an unforgiving needle-tipped syringe. Verily, they did not know the soul that was Squeekie, even though some folks who hung with Squeekie had an agreement that Squeekie would only be delivered into the hands of a loving family, not the hazardous-waste collectors who carry off the mortal remains.
The infidels contend Squeekie was among those not to be returned to from whence she came, and indeed was destined for that Great Litterbox in the Sky, in a really small cage made of mesh that would fit in a back seat or something, taking up space where you would put groceries or some such thing.
They refuse to repent, much less acknowledge their evil.
Hence this site, Squeekie's site.
Know that Squeekie is looking down from the Great Litterbox in the Sky, spitting fur balls on the evil-doers. And she is smiling, purring, meowing.
