Monkey Mail is a mailing list for owners/parents/caregivers of non-human primates (NHPs). The purpose of monkeymail is to offer a forum for support, education, and enrichment for the lives of non-human primates. Participation in Monkey mail will enhance your relationship with your NHP(s) as well as allow one the opportunity to interact with others whom share their lives with NHPs. Mmail also allows one the opportunity to learn of other varied species of NHPs. We strive to maintain a family type atmosphere so that there is always an avenue open for support for all that participate. Mmail is a forum that all can contribute and have an opinion without fear of retribution. All opinions, input, and questions will be handled by the list in a respected encouraging manner so that all feel free to interact and have input. All opinions are welcome here at Mmail as long as it is delivered in a non-derogatory, non-personal manner. Your participation is appreciated and respected.

Monkeymail (Mmail) is a non-political forum. We do not/will not endorse any particular/specific group or organization. We do encourage participation in whatever group(s) one believes provides them with an on-going means of enriching and maintaining a proper standard of care for their NHP(s). Mmail endorses regulating captive NHPs so that the highest standard of care can be mandated for all captive NHPs. We endorse and mandate the right to obtain, and maintain the NHPs in the private sector.

Monkey Mail is a secure list. One cannot subscribe themselves. The address for Monkey Mail is:

Monkey Mail is limited to those who live with primates or have extensive experience whom supports private primate ownership of Non-human primates.

Monkey Mail is a fee based list. The charge for the service is $5.00 a month; billed by credit card or private check.(service starts upon receiving the fee)

If one is paying by personal check then it will be billed quarterly. ($15.00)

By applying for approval, you are accepting the guidelines and the disclaimer below and agree to be bound by them.

Guidelines

There are requirements that one must meet to be able to subscribe to Mmail.

1. Use the subject lines in Monkey Mail to be descriptive of the emails content

2. Avoid all arguments. No derogatory comments. No personal attacks. No flame wars!!! Keep all debates focused on issues instead of personalities and individuals.

3. No soliciting of funds-No offering of animals for sale, trade, or placement within the content of any email. Grounds for immediate removal. No selling of products or services!! You may refer to the Classifieds on Monkey Maddness website instead.

4. No forwarding, coping, pasting of any and all information that is sent from within this list without prior written approval.

5. No online disagreements. We must remember the difference in debating and attacking.

6. No sending of pictures or other attachments thru Monkey Mail.... send to monkeymom@monkeymaddness.com and they will be handled there or refer to the Monkey Mugs section of Monkey Maddness.

7. Monkey Mail is a democratic list that represents the members. The guidelines were made by the current members.

8. Membership is at the discretion of the Monkey Maddness and the list owners. Any posts that violate the guidelines are grounds for immediate removal.

DISCLAIMER:

Monkey Mail (Mmail) or the owner / host of Mmail will not be responsible for any litigation's that arise from within the list. Mmail /The host / owner will not be responsible for any server errors or server down time. All new subscriptions must first be submitted for approval and then if approved will receive Mmail within 72 hours of receiving payment upon approval unless otherwise noted in writing. Anyone that wishes to be taken off the list before his or her subscription is up for renewal will forego any right to any refund. If for any reason other than noted above, the list is down more than 7 consecutive days then the renewal will be adjusted accordingly. Subscription is on a month to month basis and taking oneself on and off does not change the biling cycle. All rights to any published material within the list will remain with the author if noted.
