Consistency -- Positive training -- Pull on command -- Confidence building -- Trust
You want your dog to pull consistently and on command. Learn the one on one basic training you can use to train your dog for sledding, carting, skijoring, scootering or weight pull work.
Do not be fooled by the illusion that all your dogs are doing their share of the pulling because everything is going smoothly. Teach your dog the command "pull".

| HUMAN GEAR FOR PULL TRAINING
- Clothing:
We will work dogs no matter what, so bring rain gear, short sleeves, long sleeves, jackets, sunglasses, hats, etc. Bring sturdy shoes or boots and good socks, because you'll be on your feet nearly all day. It's a good idea to bring extra shoes and socks in case you get one pair wet..
- Insect repellent (bugs shouldn't be bad this time of year, but you never know) and sunscreen.
- Water bottle. You can get quite dehydrated working outside all day

DOGGIE GEAR FOR PULL TRAINING
- Training Collar (choke or prong). We recommend the choke training collar and it should be very snug over the dog's head that you are planning to train. If you use a finer link collar, we can tie knots in them for the smaller dogs.
- Leash/Belly Band Set
Each team attending the Pull Training Clinic receives one Leash/Belly Band Set.
- Harness(es). We will have harnesses from different manufactures for sale at the Clinic.
- Leashes (regular 4 and 6 foot leads or flexis are always useful)
- Water bowl, treats and toys
Bring anything that your dog pulls - scooter, bike, Sacco Cart, sulky, light cart - whatever you have. We will work with you and your dog with your equipment.
