Sandy is a beautiful almost 5 year old cream tabby purebred Siberian. Sandy has been in a foster home for quite some time now as she has a Grade II heart murmur. She has had 2 echos and her results are on the higher side of normal. Her last echo was 12/07 with a slight change. She does come from a Siberian line with probable HCM. She is not on medications and she exhibits NO symptoms. We have waited until she has had a 2nd echo to put her up for adoption. Her vaccines are current and she tests negative for FeLv. She is a bit shy but will sit on your lap when she wants to. She has a tendency to matt and needs weekly combing, she likes to be groomed. She is front declawed. Sandy has had urinary crsytals in her past but has not had any since being in foster care. Sandy has free run in the foster home and is pretty much a loner when it comes to the other cats in the home as well as the dog. She pretty much stays between two rooms- spending most of her day on the bed. She is a talker and chirps a lot. Sandy deserves a home of her own- with no other cats and no dogs, or children- she needs an understanding owner that will allow her to be herself and not expect a lot of interaction. We do not know if Sandy will get HCM as she ages , she very well could but she also may not. She will have to be monitored closely by a vet to watch for any cardiac changes in the future. She is being fostered in Maine and will be adopted out only to a person who is within driving distance of the foster home. If you are interested please e mail.
