Xena is half Chihuahua, half Dachshund (Dachshuahua?). She was called "Tina" by her original owner, an elderly gentleman who could no longer care for her. We decided she needed a name that would make her a celebrity like Elvis and Ann-Margret, and since "Xena" rhymes with "Tina", that was it! We found her on petfinder.com, which allows you to search for pets in your area. She was at the Taunton Animal Shelter. She is such a sweet little baby! (Though she's full-grown at 3.5 years.) Hobbies: Xena's hobbies include sleeping on her ghetto sofa; burrowing under blankets; going for walks; barking her head off at other dogs; barking her head off at dogs on TV; barking at herself in the mirror; asserting dominance with Elvis; wagging her tail at Ann-Margret; begging for food; eating everything; mounting feet (if at a 90 degree angle to the floor); carrying mama's dirty socks around the house; licking hands and faces; and being adorable. We are very sad to report that Oakie, Xena's honorary cousin, passed away in November 2004. She was a very sweet dog. BELOW: Some say Xena looks like a fruit bat -- YOU be the judge!
