If you are dealing with a tough guy, your rabbit may growl. Normally, they’ll do this right before they lunge or bite, so if they ever do this, then back off. Your rabbit may occasionally feel threatened if you end up moving too fast no matter how comfortable they are with you. You need to listen carefully, and as they’re not dogs, rabbit growls are about the same as a cat.
If Your Rabbit Hisses and Snorts
You need to stay away if your rabbit makes these sounds for a minute. Most of the time, they’ll do this while growling so you may want to keep your distance to avoid a nasty bite or lunge.
If Your Rabbit Whines
Sometimes your rabbit can whine if it doesn’t want to be handled, but other times it can indicate something that makes your rabbit sad with hits surrounding. Most rabbits will also often whine at first when put in a cage with a male rabbit (if you have a female) so the male will leave it alone.
The Rabbit Honk
When your rabbit does this, you may note that it’s feeling rather frisky or extremely “happy”. This is also a mating call for rabbits to let the member of the opposite gender know that they’re ready.

Ever watch the Disney movie “Thumper”? In the movie, there are many times you see a rabbit thumping to warn others of things like predators. In actuality, this is very accurate, because when a rabbit is afraid, this is how they let other rabbits know there may be something coming that scares them.
Chattering
If your rabbit is chattering often or all the time, then it may mean that your rabbit is sick. Sometimes this can indicate things like fever, or another illness, and you may need to take your pet to the veterinarian.
